Dallas is home to dozens of art galleries that offer everything from colorful watercolors to towering sculptures.
If you would like to find a unique piece for your home, the best galleries include:
500x Gallery is one of the oldest artist-run, cooperative galleries in Texas. The gallery is found inside a historic 1916 tire factory, and its mission is to provide a space where artists can exhibit their work free of outside influences. Over the years, several prominent artists have sold their creations here including Randall Garrett, Frances Bagley, and Vincent Falsetta. The prices are reasonable, and you never know what you’re going to discover.
Talley Dunn Gallery
The Talley Dunn Gallery strives to offer groundbreaking contemporary art in an array of media. It represents both emerging and established artists and works closely with those interested in collecting art.
One of the many artists includes Kana Harada. Born in Tokyo, she now calls Dallas home. Kana states that her work is the embodiment of her wish for love and peace, and she’s renowned for her unique 3D watercolors.
Samuel Lynne Galleries
When JD Miller and Philip Romano decided to represent a select group of artists, the Samuel Lynne Galleries was born. The artists each have their own vision and strive to convey their message within the contemporary art world.
One of the artists not to be missed is Brandon Boyd. He’s best known as the frontrunner of the Grammy-nominated band, Incubus. As a painter, Brandon pushes the boundaries of abstract and contemporary art. His watercolor drawings create a sense of mystery and serendipity, and his approach allows viewers to discover their own narrative of beauty.
