Street-side food dates back to the late seventeenth century when vendors sold food from small carts. Today, there are over 23,000 food trucks across the country that serve everything from hearty entrees to delectable desserts. The best trucks near our Dallas high rise apartments include:
Inspired by Miley and Candice’s never-ending search for the perfect bite, Easy Sliders has been a Dallas favorite since 2011. It’s one of the country’s top 21 food trucks and has grown to include a brick and mortar location in Deep Ellum. The ladies prepare the burgers from Angus beef and fresh ingredients from local farmers’ markets. They also bake the bread daily and make the sauce on the truck. Sliders include The Roadside, The Nutty Pig, and The Baby Bella. Depending on the day, Easy Sliders is found at the Truck Yard or in the Dallas Arts District.
At Tutta’s Pizza, Jeremy and Amanda Scott serve made-from-scratch pizza topped with fresh vegetables and slow-smoked meats. The truck has fed the Dallas Cowboys and boasts a restaurant in the city’s historic West End neighborhood. It moves to different locations and may be found at the zoo, the Truck Yard, or outside some of Dallas’ best breweries. Pizzas include Durty Dough, Feelin’ Aloha, and Cool Chick.
When Jordan Barrus and Isaac Hadley were attending BYU-Hawaii, they realized how food played an important role in Polynesian culture. When they decided to bring the good vibes and amazing flavors back to North Texas, they bought a truck and opened Coco Shrimp. It’s found outside Ace Hardware Monday through Saturday. The menu includes shrimp sauteed in lemon and butter sauce and topped with fresh herbs.
Along with these food trucks, our apartments in downtown Dallas are also near premier shopping destinations and world-renowned museums. To call our community home, please contact us. We’d love to schedule a personalized tour.Back to all posts
