If you love exploring nature, take advantage of fantastic local opportunities to enjoy walking, birdwatching, running, or biking. You can find beautiful views and well-maintained trails within just 20 minutes of our downtown Dallas luxury apartments. Three great urban nature trails to enjoy urban near One Dallas Center include:

Katy Trail 

Once an abandoned railroad line, Katy Trail is now a stunning urban park with well-maintained trails. Enjoy 7.5 miles of flat, paved paths that are ideal for walking, running, or biking. This community space is also a sanctuary for nature, including wide meadows, flowers, native trees, and ponds. You can even take in beautiful views of the Dallas skyline from certain parts of the trail. Dogs are welcome to enjoy the trail too, as long they’re on a leash. Wear face coverings and maintain social distance.

Turtle Creek Park 

The story of this peaceful spot goes back more than 100 years. Turtle Creek Park is a paved walking trail that meanders along the creek for over two miles. It provides great views of blue jays, cardinals, and other area birds. The trail is beautifully landscaped with flowers, trees, and lush foliage that makes it the perfect spot for having a picnic while safely distanced from others. There’s also a lot of interesting historic architecture to explore, including stone bridges and walkways that were built in 1913. Don’t forget your masks and to stay at least six feet from others.

White Rock Lake Trail 

This picturesque spot is both an important water reservoir for the city of Dallas and a beloved recreational space. Enjoy a paved loop that follows the course of the water for over nine miles. The trail provides enjoyable opportunities for walking, biking, and sighting birds along the lake. White Rock Lake Trail crosses a bridge, travels across shady woods, and provides great views of the city. Stay six feet from others and wear a face mask while enjoying the trail.
